Raphael Mortari lives in Bauru/SP and works with digital illustration.Bio
Raphael Mortari is an illustrator and designer with nearly 15 years of national and international experience, heavily influenced by cinema and pop culture. He has contributed to the editorial field with illustrations for magazines such as Zupi, Computer Arts, Runners World, Viagem & Turismo, Mundo Estranho, Galileu, and Época. In 2015, he published the comic book "Supernada," serving as both writer and inker. One of his short stories, "Unha e Carne," was selected and published in the "Dossiê OVNI" anthology by Diário Macabro in 2021. Recently, he created 22 illustrations for an exhibition at the Butantan Library, as well as caricatures for the 158th-anniversary exhibition of Vital Brazil in São Paulo.
Mortari has served on a panel evaluating comics-related theses at UNESP/Bauru, conducted a workshop on observational drawing for biology students at UNIP/Bauru, curated the publication fair at Virada Nerd at SESC Bauru, and delivered a lecture at SESC Sorocaba as part of the Ilustradoria program. He is also the founder of PAPELBUZZ – Feira de Impressos, which has held two editions in Bauru/SP.
