Cassio Raabe
Cassio Raabe lives in Porto Alegre/RS and works with traditional and digital illustration.Bio
Cassio Raabe, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design but has always been more inclined towards artistic projects. Influenced by Hector Cartier's disciple, the Argentine Nestor Candi, he studied painting with him, absorbing the essence of Bauhaus and the mechanisms of visual perception. Additionally, he explored contemporary drawing in Porto Alegre and Visual Storytelling at Santa Fé University in the United States.
As an illustrator, he has developed projects and studies exploring geometric shapes, the boundaries between figurative and abstract art, as well as the study of high-contrast color composition and its interaction with human beings. In this fusion, he explores the organic elements residing within geometric shapes, the imperfections within perfection, and the organized chaos within grids.
He has already held solo and group exhibitions in Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Milan, New York, and Santa Fé. For two years, he had an independent art space, which concluded with a season spent in Europe. After five years living in São Paulo, he continues to develop his research in Rio de Janeiro.
His clients include Coca-Cola, Cima London, Animale, Batavo, Dakota, Escola São Paulo, Monica Botelho, CrossFit Brasil, Sarah Chofakian, Fernanda Lima, Gustavo Kuerten, Etoiles, Amoreira, Loolstore, Querosene Filmes, L'Affiche Milano, Westbank London Gallery, Galerie Neurotitan Berlin, and Eat Studio
