Hector Gomez Alisio is an Argentinian artist who lives in São Paulo and works with traditional and digital illustration.Bio
Hector Gomez was born in Argentina in 1953. He has worked as an illustrator for numerous Brazilian advertising agencies, including Siboney, Rhino, Young & Rubicam Fox, J. Walter Thompson, Lintas, and Ogilvy. His work has appeared in leading magazines such as Veja, Playboy, Quatro Rodas, Planeta, and Super Interessante, as well as for book publishers like Nova Fronteira, Círculo do Livro, Moderna, and others.
He has also created storyboards for feature films, including "At Play in the Fields of the Lord" by Héctor Babenco, "The Lady from the Shanghai Cinema" by Guilherme de Almeida Prado, and "The Country of the Tenente" by João Batista de Andrade, among others.
Hector has held numerous solo and group exhibitions of his paintings in art galleries. He served as the creative director of the digital agency Hipermídia from 1997 to 1999, Ogilvy Interactive from 1999 to 2001, and Tesla from 2002 to 2005.
Active in the North American market since 1992, he has collaborated with major publishers such as Marvel, DC Comics, Eclipse, Maximum Press, Innovation, Topps Comics, SkyBox, and Dark Horse, where he developed the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. In Brazil, he published Samsara with Globo, The Adventures of Juba and Lula 1 and 2, and the Amazing Muchachas series.
